Your Voice for Kettering City Council
I am committed to being a council member who listens and represents the voices of our community.
Having worked with Laura on Kettering projects during my time on City Council, I saw firsthand her dedication, integrity, and genuine love for our community. She was an invaluable volunteer, and her deep understanding of our city, combined with her commitment to service, will make her an incredible asset to the City Council. I am proud to endorse Laura Arber for City Council At-Large.
Former Council Member and City Economic Development Director
My name is Laura Arber, and I’m running for Kettering City Council. For over 20 years, I've been a dedicated city volunteer, working with the Parks Board and the Arts Council. This long-term involvement has given me a deep appreciation for the unique services that make Kettering so vibrant. After joining the Strategic Planning Committee, I gained a deeper understanding of what our city needs to thrive as a vibrant community. I believe that engaged and experienced council members are crucial for this success.

As a member of Kettering City Council, I will bring a collaborative voice and a commitment to these key priorities:
Focus: Safeguarding our unique parks, recreation facilities, and arts and culture programs. Our parks and recreation programs are a core part of what makes Kettering special, and I will be a strong advocate for their continued excellence.
Action: I will work to ensure our Police and Fire Departments are fully supported to keep Kettering safe and will champion investments in our critical infrastructure to create a strong, resilient community.
Focus: Continuing to provide amazing amenities requires us to attract new businesses to Kettering. I will focus on strategic growth that respects our landlocked nature and enhances our community, not burdens it.
Action: I will work to strategically utilize existing spaces and empty buildings to attract new businesses and jobs, generating revenue to support city services without over-relying on residents.
Focus: Bringing an experienced voice to the council to make decisions that reflect residents' best interests.
Action: I will work to promote open dialogue, collaboration, and accountability in city governance. My goal is to be a council member who is accessible and a true representative of our residents.
I’ve volunteered alongside Laura for over two decades, starting when we served together on the Kettering Board of Community Relations. For the past 15 years, we’ve continued that volunteer together on the Kettering Parks and Recreation Board. Laura brings a thoughtful, inclusive, and steady voice to everything she’s involved in. She listens, collaborates, and truly cares about this community. I’ve seen firsthand her dedication, and I’m proud to support her for Council At-Large—Kettering will be better with her leadership.

Kettering Council Member at large
I’ve known Laura for over 20 years, going back to when she served on the Kettering Board of Community Relations and I was the council rep. From day one, she’s been someone who listens, cares deeply about people, and works hard to make our city better. Laura’s been a steady presence in Kettering, always showing up and staying involved. I’m excited to support her run for Council At-Large—she’s exactly the kind of thoughtful, community-minded leader we need.
Former Kettering Council Member
We’ve had the privilege of calling Laura our neighbor and friend for over 15 years. Her commitment to Kettering runs deep—whether she’s volunteering at community events, serving on local boards, or simply showing up to support others. Laura leads with integrity, listens with empathy, and brings people together. We can’t think of a better person to represent all of Kettering on City Council.
